We deeply appreciate the many people who support our church both financially and through offering their time and talents. If you would like to support the work of the church, as we support the people in the parish of Mellor and Marple Bridge and in the wider diocese, there are various ways to donate:

The Church relies on the generosity of givers and fundraising events such as the Fete to balance the books. So first of all, a huge ‘thank you’ to all who contribute to the church, in terms of your money, your time, your talents and your work.

If you count yourself a member of St. Thomas’, please could you consider the following steps:

  • If you are able to gift aid your giving (and do not do so already) that would help us enormously. That immediately increases the value of your giving by 25%.
  • If you are not already giving by standing order from your bank, we encourage you to consider doing this. It makes it much easier for us to meet our regular financial commitments when we have a reliable regular income.
  • Finally, are you able to increase your giving? It may be a while since you last reviewed your donations to the church.

If you are not a member of the congregation but would like to support Mellor church, we are grateful for any support you choose to give.

‘But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.’ (1 Chronicles 29:14)
